The point is that a believer can handle even the most unpleasant circumstances and have the same happiness that he has in prosperity unless he’s depending upon what happens in his prosperity for his happiness and if that’s true, there is no difference between a believer in this condition and any unbeliever. It’s absolutely impossible for an immutable person to change, so in His deity, Jesus Christ cannot die and He is also omnipotent and His omnipotence plus His eternal life means He couldn’t die in His deity even if He wanted to. Jesus Christ is God and as God, He’s coequal, co-infinite and coeternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit but in order to be a mediator between God and man, He must also become true humanity and be equal; not only to man as man exists but better than man in his present existence; He must be equal to the first Adam who came into the world in innocence, so He must be a sinless man! Hebrews 10:5-14 teaches us two things: 1. Jesus Christ had to be true humanity to be our Savior and 2. Jesus Christ had to be true humanity to be our High Priest. Joseph’s dilemma was resolved the way so many dilemmas in life are successfully resolved because ONLY the Word of God provides a solution to complicated situations in life such as this. We cannot be afraid of reality and at the same time, think clearly about life; this will lead to hysteria in pressure situations. If we’re in any kind of a dilemma in life, what we first of all need is information to analyze our situation. So, what did Jesus Christ do on the Cross? He solved the entire issue of the sinful nature of man which is the story of Romans chapter six. It’s no miracle at all when a young woman conceives and gives birth to a son but you better believe it is a miracle when a virgin does and this was one of the two greatest signs to Israel regarding their 5th cycle of divine discipline; sign number one was the virgin birth and sign number two will be the gift of languages or tongues at Pentecost. And so, it was Peter’s job to point out this very important fact to the Jews who would be scattered throughout the world that born-again Jews are not bound by the 5th cycle of divine discipline, they are members of the body of Christ; a Royal priesthood, a kingdom of priests and now they have tremendous opportunities! The Lord Jesus Christ was and is and always will be undiminished deity; so, all divine Names and titles are applied to Him and all divine attributes are ascribed to Him. God could not promise more or do more or provide more than Jesus Christ is said to promise, to do and to provide!
