The Book Of Malachi Lsn # 1, 'A Heavy Prochecy'
Genuine prophecy can only come from God because He alone is omniscient, so He knows the
end from the beginning.
True prophets never claim any part of their messages as being from themselves; for them it’s
usually ‘Thus saith the Lord’ or ‘The Word of the Lord came unto me.’
God had always loved his people but they failed to appreciate His love and even rejected it with
dishonor and flagrant disobedience.
As you well know, the nation of Israel failed miserably time and time again but a remnant
remained and still continues to bear witness to God’s commitment to seek out a people for His
Name.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the last prophet of Israel and so, from Malachi to the Second Advent,
Israel will have just three prophets: Malachi, John the Baptist and Jesus Christ and the humanity
of Christ was prophet, priest and king and after His Incarnation, Israel went out under severe
divine discipline in AD70.
God never curses or judges anyone without first of all blessing them which precedes any cursing
or in other words, it’s grace before judgement.
And it’s not our politicians or even our fantastic military that can save our nation; only Jesus
Christ our Savior, the Second magnificent Person of the Trinity, can save the USA; so, to say or
to sing or to even pray: God bless or God save our country is meaningless if the Lord Jesus
Christ is not taken seriously.
It’s never the man; it’s his message which is important.
Whenever there is a declaration of love on the part of anyone, the words spoken are no stronger
than the person who says them.
Therefore, God’s personal love is immediately limited because His personal love begins with His
plan at the Cross; therefore, even though Jesus Christ died for their sins, these priests as
unbelievers are exactly like unbelieving Esau and unlike believing Jacob.
As the speaker here, God is saying in effect: In the future My Son will die for your sins since it’s
a part of My plan which will occur, He will pay in full for your sins as He will for everyone
else’s.
Religion is the greatest enemy to any kind of true love and that’s where there must be a substitute
for true love, like operation bleeding heart, a phony attitude of wanting to help people especially
when others are watching.
